The Global Medical Affairs team provides medical-scientific leadership, drives the medical-scientific strategy, and supports markets and Health Interests with medical as well as product expertise.To support our team located at Karlsruhe-Durlach we are seeking a full-time Global Medical Affairs Manager as of February 1st, 2023.

Global Medical Affairs Manager (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

  • Generate and communicate actionable medical insights
  • Define and implement medical content and medical dissemination strategy for the established portfolio in pro-actively driven cooperation with other departments and subsidiaries
  • Lead cross-functional teams integrating internal and external stakeholder needs into conclusive strategies and tactics
  • Provide medical know-how for all internal stakeholders and serve as a go-to-person for subsidiaries and licensors regarding medical-scientific product and therapeutic area knowledge
  • Manage support of Investigator Initiated Trials
  • Manage medical liaison with international KOLs and organizations
  • Organize appearance at international virtual and on-site events
  • Provide medical education, medical information, and medical service tools
  • Organize medical training for and best practice exchange with subsidiaries

Your profile

  • PhD / MD degree and in-depth medical knowledge, preferably gained in one of the Schwabe Group Health Interests
  • Multi-year experience and significant accomplishments in typical medical affairs tasks
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Proven familiarity with scientific methods
  • Sound understanding of market mechanisms and needs
  • Awareness of regulatory processes and requirements, market access knowledge would be an advantage
  • Fluent verbal and written English, fluency in German and a third language desirable
  • International experience, preferably in multinational companies & having lived abroad
  • Willingness to relocate to the South-West of Germany
  • Business acumen
  • Strong analytic mindset
  • Team- and goal-orientation, customer-focus, proactivity
  • Leadership skills and experience with matrix responsibility
